3. Mode

Best of Three, Double Elemination. So if one player wins 2 rounds, he wins the match and goes to the next round. Loser goes to the loser bracket, where he has a chance of a rebirth to the final, when he wins the loser bracket.

4. Cup Settings

  • 5.000 $ startcash
  • Players: 2
  • First small blind 10 $ doubling every 10th round (has to be changed in blind settings, because standard is 8)
  • Timeout for player action: 10 seconds
  • Delay between hands: 5 seconds

Matches with wrong settings are not allowed. If we recognize wrong settings, the results of the match will be ignored. We have to ensure, that everybody has the same conditions in the cup!

After both -Check in-, create the game and invite your opponent by -ctrl-click

5. Bracket

Bracket will be remixed after signup has closed. When the bracket has it´s final setting you can see your opponents in the tree. I the number of players does not reach the bracket size, some players could get a "free win". Seeding is done automaticly by the system. Admins never get a free win.

6. Maximum Players

128 (minimum 16 to start)

7. "default time"

This is the date and time until the match has to be started. Please have a look at the tree rounds to ensure, that you can play at these times.

8. How to play?

As soon as the tourney starts, you have to meet your opponent in the lobby latest at "default time". This time is written here above and in the cup tree. You need to play with the same account you signed up for the cup. You can also arrange an alternative date. But take care, if your opponent doesn´t show up the "default time" takes effect.

9. How to get the match arranged?
- Best option:

  1. Check in.
  2. Meet your opponent at default time in the lobby.
  3. Ask him, if he is ready.
  4. Open a table with the cup settings and give the name of both player (f.e.: "LuisCypher vs Checkraiser").
  5. Ask your opponent to join the table.
  6. Start the 1st round (just stay at the table after the round, you can start it again for next round)
  7. Play best of 3
  8. Report the match

- Second Option:
Arrange a different time with your opponent (maybe 2 hours before default time). If your opponent agrees meet him in the lobby at the arranged time.

  1. Check in.
  2. Meet your opponent at arranged time in the lobby.
  3. Ask him, if he is ready.
  4. Open a table with the cup settings and give the name of both player (f.e.: "LuisCypher vs Checkraiser").
  5. Ask your opponent to join your table.
  6. Start the 1st round (just stay at the table after the round, you can start it again for next round)
  7. Play best of 3
  8. Report the match
  9. ASK YOUR OPPONENT TO REPORT THE MATCH !!!

10. Opponent does not show up at "default time"?

You need to wait 15 minutes for your opponent, until you can ask the admins for a def win. In this case you need to make a screenshot and report it to cup@poker-heroes.com. If you arranged an alternative date and/or time and your opponent does not show up, you need to play against him at default time. You can´t ask for a "def win", if he cancelled the match. No protest possible. You can just get a "def win" at default time. If you played the match and he was not reporting. We accept the reported result, but just with screenshot and logfile.

If you can´t show up in time, you prevent disqualification by giving a notice to the admins and your opponent. This way nobody has to wait for you and you keep your earned CRPs, cup- and match-counts. (updated 14.10.2012)

11. Check in needed! How to "check in"

Just write "Check in" to the lobby-chat, so that we can see, that you are online and available. Earliest Check in is 10 minutes before the match starts, latest 15 minutes after match has to be started. If you check in more than 15 minutes after the start time of the match, you can get a "default loss" (depends on status of the match).
If someone does not check in to the lobby, he risks to lose his match (depending on match status)
12. You don´t know how to make a screenshot?

Here are some free Tools to make easy screenshots:

13. Logfiles

Here is a small tutorial how you setup up the lgofiles and where you can find them on your harddisk.

First open the settings:

Then click at "Log Messages" and follow the s steps at the screenshot:

14. Match report

Both players of each match have to report their match result immediately after the match, latest within 2 hours. Report your results by using the mailform at the top of this page, sending a mail with the rounds results to cup@poker-hereos.com or post the results to the the cup forum. Each round has to be reported (f.e.: 2:0 or 2:1 or 0:2 or 1:2). If you report by mail, please use your account email address to report the result. Save a screenshot from your winning screen and save your logfile as insurance. As soon as one player has confirmed his loss, the other player automaticly moves to the next round.

UPDATE: All players may report their results to the lobby chat since we are logging the chat to ensure, that no result will be lost. If you report your match in the lobby, please do it exactly this way: "Report: Player1 - Player2 RoundsPlayer1:RoundsPlayer2". Just if you do it like this, we can accept your match report!

Reporting results is one of the most important responsibilities in the cup. If a forgotten match report causes trouble, the player could receive a ban for the next cup

15. Discqualification

Any flame (posting deliberately hostile messages) will cause direct disqualification from the turney. Players should make screenshots in this case and contact the admins immediately. We will give further instructions then. Disqualification can cause additional penalties against the players.

Players which doesn´t show up for their match, will be deleted from the cup. Just players which lost, or gave a notice BEFORE the match has to be played can move to the loser bracket. (added: 13.10.) Players lose their CRPs, match- and cup-count of the cup they were disqualified. (updated 14.10.2012)
